When you purchase a drink/s, your payment card will also be auto-charged with a small deposit fee for each cup.
When you return your cup/s to a dedicated cup return point, the value of the deposit will be auto-returned to your payment card. You can put them in the cup return point in singles, or stacks of cups!

A: Our RFID-based (you’ll probably know this more so as ‘contactless’) ONE SMART Reusable Cup System is a tech-driven reusable cup solution which is ideal for cashless fixed venues where you want to use a deposit scheme. When a visitor buys one or several drinks, their payment card is automatically charged a deposit fee per cup, and the cups are then linked to their payment card. When they return the cup/s, the deposit is auto-returned to their payment card. As a venue, you also have the option to reserve the deposit value and not actually charge the card, until the cup is actually confirmed as ‘not returned’.
A: Our ONE SMART Reusable Cup System uses RFID technology, whereas our standard ONE Reusable Cup System does not use any RFID technology. An RFID chip is added to our new ONE SMART cups during the production process via in-mould labelling.
A: Typically, deposits do help to increase your cup retention rates. However, using a normal cash deposit system can often be inefficient and costly, with venue staff having to manage cup return points, with large queues leading to frustration and poor customer experience. Our ONE SMART Reusable Cup System enables venues to operate a deposit system automatically, with a no-hassle, reliable and fair solution.

A: Put simply, it is an easy, quick and fair system. Our technology reduces queuing times at the point of purchase. Even the dedicated cup return points can scan large quantities of cups automatically and reliably to enable the deposit auto-return, so no need to queue for deposit return – again, reducing overall waiting times, and resulting in a more enjoyable customer experience.
A: No. Pints and half pints work with this system, all of which are RFID chip-enabled.

A: Yes, but our antenna mats simply link into your existing POS terminals, so no need to worry about changing or updating any existing infrastructure.
A: As the venue, you can either purchase these outright, or lease them over a period of time.
A: Yes. This is something that our technical team will liaise with you directly about during the set-up process.
A: After consumption, the cup collection points – equipped with RFID technology – automatically register all deposited cups. The RFID reader is able to read single cups and also multiple cups returned simultaneously. Cup sorting takes place behind the return points.
A: Cups can be placed into the return points in stacks or individually, it doesn’t matter – the RFID reader will read all the individual RFID chips as they pass through.
A: No. With this system, there is no need for the cup return points to be manned. Then, after the event, all returned cups are transported to our nearest washing centre. During the washing process, a final check is performed with another RFID reader.
A: It won’t, but there is a full back-up tech team available 24/7 to support your venue.
