Why reusable cups?

As a festival or big event organiser, reusable cups are one of those things that you’re already thinking you should be adopting, but for one reason or another you haven’t yet taken the plunge.

Cost

You’re probably thinking that single-use disposable pints and half pints are the most affordable option…and that is true…..but only to a certain extent. Think of the up-front cost you have to pay per item, albeit small – it’s still money that you’re not going to get back. Reusable systems are complicated, aren’t they?

Any new system needs concise information being sent and displayed to customers. The more you can do this, the more seamless the reusable system will be. Have a think about what communication channels you use as an event. It might be pre-event comms such as periodic newsletters and visitor information emails, social media channels, your website and other digital media. The more your visitors know and understand the system in advance of the event, the more they will be engaged with it, and the more successful it will be.
